The 2020 Presidential elections would be one touch victory for President Akufo-Addo, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has predicted.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, stated that victory for the incumbent is assured simply because of the hard work and performance of his government.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi added that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would head to court to contest the nomination of Nana Akufo-Addo as President for his second tenure.
Despite being the political party in power, Chairman Wontumi has explained that the NPP would be approaching 2020 general elections like a party in opposition, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party has said.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, informed viewers of the Security Tips show that the NPP would make no room for complacency but with hard work, would work tirelessly to ensure the electorates retain them in power.
“We are taking the 2020 elections like a party in opposition”, the NPP Chairman also known as Chairman Wontumi said.
Prior to making the above revelation, Chairman Wontumi once predicted that the NPP will dominate the house of Parliament with 190 seats after the 2020 general elections.
“NPP will win 190 parliamentary seats. The more I say it the more NDC members think like the biblical Philistines…. It is a one touch victory for the NPP”, he in the interviewed monitored by Wontumionline.com.
Currently, the ruling NPP have 169 seats in Parliament whereas the NDC has 106 seats.
