2020 Elections: Never Again; NPP Vows To Snatch Pru West Parliamentary Seat From NDC – DCE

District Chief Executive of Pru West District, Hon. Stephen Jalulah, has hinted that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will by all means grab the Pru West, East, Sene West and Sene East Parliamentary seats from the opposition NDC in the December elections..

According to him, the NDC have been the custodian of those Parliamentary seats since ’92 but fortunately the NPP was able to snatch the Atetebu-Amanten Parliamentary seat in 2016.

In an interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Election 2020 on Wontumi Radio and TV on Thursday, Hon. Jalulah disclosed that, before he contested the Pru East Parliamentary seat as a candidate for the NPP in 2012, the total votes difference between the two parties were 6000 but this was reduced to 1100 after the election.

“In the 2016 elections I lost the contest with just 42 votes margin.” He said.

According to him, the NDC even used violence to win the Pru West seat in the 2012 elections by using security agencies to manipulate the process.

Hon. Jalulah stated that strangely it was the security agencies who even declared the results.

He indicated that, the matter was sent to court but he was advised by some NPP members to withdraw the case from court.

The Pru West District DCE is convinced that, due to the achievements of the NPP in opening up the District the elephant will trample upon the umbrella to occupy the Parliamentary seat.
