2020 ELECTION: We Have Faith In The EC- Popular Chief Taunts Mahama
Etwienana Baffour Oteatuoso Kokoben II, Akwanserehene of Akyem Kwabeng, has challenged former President, John Dramani Mahama, to come clear on his exhortation that “the EC, the Judiciary and the legislature should learn lessons from the just ended US election.”
According to Nana Oteatuoso, these institutions have their own dynamics and ethics and thus, have nothing to learn from the just ended US elections.”
In an interview on Wontumi Radio/TV, the Akyem Royal said that, Ghanaians as law abiding citizens have faith in the Electoral Commission and questioned why the NDC found everything to be normal with the EC and the other judicial bodies when the NDC was declared winner in the 2012 elections.
“We have much faith in the Judiciary than you had in the institution in 2012 .” He said
Nana Oteatuoso was emphatic that, the Judicial system is very unbiased “that’s why John Mahama was able to win the historic election petition in the aftermath of the 2012 election.”
“John Mahama is not the only Ghanaian. The country is for all of us. We are happy about what’s going in the country.” He said.
