Asante Kotoko right-back Christopher Nettey won his first man of the match award of the season against Ebusua Dwarfs on Wednesday.
Nettey was rewarded after scoring the winning goal in the Ghana Premier League matchday 7 outstanding fixture at the Cape Coast Stadium.
His goal helped Kotoko beat Dwarfs 1-0, a win that sees them move to within a point of Ghana Premier League leaders Karela United.
Nettey, who earned a Black Stars call-up for the first time in November last year, headed into the net after he found himself completely unmarked in the penalty box following a well-taken free-kick by Patrick Asmah.
The 22-year-old has been in great form this season, making nine appearances in all competitions for the Porcupine Warriors and scored one goal.
He has missed only one game, the 1-1 stalemate against Medeama.
