Zito Predicts Tough FA Cup Final Against Golden Kick
Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is preparing for a challenging showdown against Golden Kick in the MTN FA Cup final this weekend.
The Porcupine Warriors will face the lower-tier side on Sunday, June 15, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Ahead of the match, Zito highlighted the extra motivation Golden Kick will have in trying to topple a top-flight team like Kotoko, making the encounter particularly difficult.
“It’s going to be very difficult, because in this competition, you see the smaller teams taking out the larger teams,” the experienced trainer told the club’s media.
“The smaller teams motivate themselves going into games against the big teams, and that makes it very difficult.
“We beating them is nothing, but if they beat us, it’s something. So that’s the most difficult part of the match we are going to play,” he added.
The game kicks off at 17:00 GMT, with the winner earning the chance to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
