The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasikao, has slammed former President John Mahama for delivering a “bogus” speech during the 175th anniversary of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church.
On Sunday, Mr. Mahama joined some members of his party in Volta region for the EP Church’s Thanksgiving Service.
During the ceremony, he talked about hardships in Ghana but failed to talk about alternative policies he can challenge government to work with.
In an interview with Wontumionline.com, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi hit back stating that Mr. Mahama should have used the occasion to ask for forgiveness and tell Ghanaians how he mismanaged the economy to the core.
“If Mahama thinks he can play politics in Church and not see the place as a holy ground where he would change from his evil ways, then I want to tell him that his comments were bogus. Everyone goes to God’s house to repent and renew his or faith, but in Mahama’s case, he went there to lie. God hates lairs and people who think they are smart in their carnal ways”, Chairman Wontumi said.
