Former Communications Director at the Presidency, Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has reminded former President John Dramani Mahama about how he once pushed out Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and teamed up with Seth Terkper to mess up Ghana’s economy.
In a tv and radio interview on the Wontumi Morning show, Mr. Samuel Koku Anyidoho disclosed that before Mr. Mahama became president, his predecessor the late former President John Evans Atta Mills had built Ghana’s economy on a good foundation together with Dr. Duffuor as his finance minister.
But following the demise of President Mills, the situation paved way for Mr. Mahama to sack Dr. Duffuor and go in for his deputy Mr. Seth Terpker which according to Mr. Anyidoho, destroyed the economy.
“You easily took over from Atta Mills because he did a very good job in office. Duffuor was Atta Mills’ finance minister and Seth Terpker was his deputy. But when Atta Mills passed on, you (Mahama) sacked Duffuor saying you can no longer work with him…no problem it is the case of time changes. But he (Mahama) came to tell us the meat that Prof Mills and Duffuor had left on the economy, he has eaten all and it was left with bones…I was at Castle and I know you as vice President didn’t play a vital role in shaping up the economy”, he said.
