Lawyer George Oppong has taken a swipe at Prof. Raymond Atuguba describing him as someone who might have been to school but not knowledgeable in real life.
The latest attack on Prof. Atuguba’s integrity follows his comment which seem to suggest that he yearns to see a coup d’état happen in Ghana.
At a public forum organised by Solidaire Ghana on February 28, Professor Raymond Atuguba said Ghana is ripe for coup if something is not immediately done to avert it.
But tackling his statements on Wontumi TV, Lawyer George Oppong stated that because things are not going the way of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), their members including Prof. Atuguba feels the nation should burn through coup d’état.
“There are certain people who don’t want to see others win and we can all see where they are all coming from. NPP won’t ever wish for coup when the NDC is in power. We believe in democratic principle”, he said.
Adding that the NDC has developed a strategy which is to have persons like Prof. Atuguba preach about coup in a way that “would push others to act”.
