The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has taken a direct swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as a ruminant specifically, a goat.
His description follows an insult by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress that even if the NPP decides to use a goat as Parliamentary candidate in their strongholds, the goat will win the election.
Addressing the issue on the Wontumi Morning Show, the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi responded that members of his party “are not goats. It is rather the NDC that thinks they can use goats to represent them as parliamentary candidates. If your plan is to use goats as candidates, it won’t work.”
He slapped Mr. Mahama by reminding him that “you are what you say, you are rather the goat.”
Chairman Wontumi however noted that he is least surprised the NDC flagbearer is insulting members of the NPP, mentioning that if the same individual could insult Muslims and promise to build mortuaries for them; his “goat” analogy doesn’t amuse him.
