Former President John Mahama has failed to convince lawyer Maurice Ampaw that he has something left in him that can transform Ghana should he be considered again to occupy the position as President.
The celebrated lawyer stated on Wontumi TV last Sunday that the former President is over 60 years old and there is nothing left for him to do for the country considering he has had his time in the past and messed up.
“What can Mahama do that he couldn’t do? He is above 60 years and because of greed, the NDC isn’t looking for a young guy who can give them 8 years power” he sadly said as he discussed the error becoming committed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over their decision to present Mr. Mahama again as their presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
He stressed that in an unlikely event former President Mahama becomes President of Ghana again, he only has 4 years to operate which wouldn’t permit him to do any meaningful thing for the country.
In a chronological order, lawyer Ampaw noted that if Ghanaians should vote for Mr. Mahama, he would use his first year to handle transitional matters and use his second year, to appoint his ministers.
He continued that in his third year, the NDC would be witnessing mass resignation from the government of President Mahama because the party would have begun the search for his replacement.
According to him, Mr. Mahama would be left with only 1 year to rule Ghana which wouldn’t benefit us in any way.
