Dr. Samuel Afriyie has likened former President John Mahama to a hoping kangaroo going through “confused branding” over claims that he is a new person.
The 2020 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been touring around the country and telling Ghanaians that he is a new person who has learnt his mistakes.
But addressing the issue on the Wontumi Morning Show which was monitored by Wontumionline.com, Dr. Samuel Afriyie stated that “Mahama is going through confused branding. Who is the new Mahama and why should I trust him? His old self is dangerous but if he claims that he is new, he should tell us about his new direction”.
The senior lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University wondered if the new Mahama has been able to come out with a policy that resonates well with Ghanaians in opposition.
“Can we attribute any policy to him like we can say about Akufo-Addo who was able to talk about introducing free SHS before becoming President?” he asked.
He described the messages of former President John Mahama as irrelevant noting that “he is like a kangaroo just hoping and talking about issues which are irrelevant”.
