A constituency youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Razak Abubakar, has cautioned the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yamin to stop commenting on parliamentary issues since his influence is not recognized in the august house.
After some NDC Members of Parliament (MPs) went against the party’s orders to approve six new ministers appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Joseph Yamin said the party will crack the whip and fish them out for punishment.
In an interview with an Accra radio based station, Mr. Yamin said “We won’t create a platform for you to be able to get to the house, only for you to turn against the actions and directives. We will not stop until we fish out who and who [did that] and if we find out, it’s going to be a step to deter others. We sometimes behave as if we are the only political party in this country.”
But responding to his comments on the Wontumi Morning Show, Razak Abubakar indicated that the NDC National Organizer was only speaking because he wants to follow what his National Chairman, Asiedu Nketia and General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey are doing in the media.
“When Yamin speaks, check his track record. How is he going to do it? Are they telling the MPs that they can’t reason for themselves and country? Are they aware that their current minority leader (Ato Forson) is good friends with Bryan? Do they know the kind of influence Bryan has on the NDC MPs? What has the issue in parliament got to do with a National Organizer?” he quipped.
