Following the overwhelming success of Phase 1 of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) Skill Training Module, which saw thousands of young Ghanaians acquire essential job market skills, Phase 1 of the initiative transformed many lives by equipping beneficiaries with vital skills and tools for various artisanal professions.
Participants have since entered the workforce with confidence, with many establishing their own businesses or securing employment in their chosen fields.
The feedback, according to YEA, has been highly positive, underscoring the program’s impact.
YEA is now explaining that Phase 2 of the program aims to extend this success by training an additional 10,000 youth across Ghana.
The program seeks to offer quality training in ten artisanal professions: Auto Works, Carpentry, Hairdressing, Glazing Works, Plaster of Paris (POP), Painting, Plumbing, Beauty Care, General Electrical’s, and Welding & Fabrication.
Each successful applicant will receive comprehensive training and essential starter packs to help them launch their careers. The deadline for applications is September 13, 2024.
