In a deliberate effort to touch base with all party executives of the New Patriotic Party across the country, with his national chairmanship bid, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, will on Wednesday, engage both the Northern and North East regions as well as constituency executives of the party.
He will first call on party executives in Tamale, capital of the Northern Region, then, move to Nalerigu, to seek their support for his ambition to lead the party to reclaim political power.
While his rounds across the country, has been a platform to energise the party base, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known in the political circus as Chairman Wontumi, will seek, as has been the case, to inspire hope and confidence in the good people of the Northern Region; to remain resolute and lead the party’s quest to return to power in 2028.
Ahead of the much- anticipated meeting with the people of these regions, the camp of Chairman Wontumi are in high spirit for positive responses from the region.
A key member of the Chairman Wontumi Campaign, and a former DCE for the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti region, Hon Banahene, gave his candid reasons why Chairman Wontumi should be the national Chairman that the party urgently requires.
He says the election of Chairman Wontumi as the National Chairman, should be a national call.
