Wontumi Case Adjourned To March 16, 2028 As Defence Awaits Attorney General’s Response

The legal team of Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, appeared in court today in connection with his ongoing case.

Speaking to the media after proceedings, lead counsel Andy Appiah-Kubi revealed that the defense team has already filed a submission of no case before the court and is currently awaiting a response from the Attorney General.

According to him, the Attorney General has also submitted documents outlining certain responsibilities for the defense team to address.

Lawyer Appiah-Kubi explained that the defence would require some time to carefully respond to the issues raised in those documents.

The court subsequently ordered the defence team to complete their responses to the Attorney General’s filings by Thursday.

Following the directive, the court adjourned the case to March 16, 2028, when proceedings are expected to continue.
