The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has snapped at Mr. John Mahama for being an ineffective President despite appointing 85 ministers.
According to him, Mr. Mahama’s successor President Akufo-Addo has 86 ministers and has by far outperformed him when their performance is out under a scope.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that from 2013 to 2016, Ghana’s population stood at 25 million but former President John Mahama could only manage a gdp of 3.7% which according to him was appalling.
Chairman Wontumi added that under Mr. Mahama there were only 10 regions in Ghana but economic mismanagement made him give us ‘dumsor’ driving productivity in the country down.
He therefore praised the government of President Akufo-Addo by sharing that with a population of 30.8 million, 86 ministers and 16 regions, Ghana’s gdp stands at 4.7% which is a good sign of strong leadership.
Chairman Wontumi added that despite the world economic downturns, the government of President Akufo-Addo has been able to introduce and sustain the free SHS programe which is benefitting Ghanaians.
