A former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Kwadaso constituency, Dr. Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah, has called on his party to repose confidence in Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten as he seeks to be flagbearer and look forward to break the 8-year political cycle for the party.
Speaking on Wontumi TV last Saturday, Dr. Nuamah stated that the popularity of his preferred candidate is above that of other candidates who have expressed interest in contesting the flagbearership slot.
He took an indirect jibe at vice President Mahamudu Bawumia noting that when he went to Volta region, the people booed him unlike the warm welcome they gave Alan Kyeremanten when he visited the same region.
“Someone went to Volta region and they hooted at him but Alan went there and they welcomed him”, Dr. Nuamah said as he canvassed for support for the former Trade and Industry minister.
