Supreme Court judges were convinced former President John Mahama is incompetent following the petition he submitted before them, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi has said.
Chairman Wontumi’s reply which is targeted at Mr. Mahama comes on the back of a controversial comment from the latter that the judges, who sat the 2020 election petition were unjust.
According to Mr. Mahama, in 2012 when an election petition was sent to the Supreme Court, then Chief Justice, Madam Georgina Theodora, excluded herself from the panel of judges who presided over the case.
On this note, he stated that he was shocked when he saw the current Chief Justice, Justice Kwesi Anin Yeboah on the panel when his legal team presented the 2020 petition to challenge the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election.
But Chairman Wontumi responded that it was rather the other way round as the Supreme Court judges couldn’t believe the incompetent petition before them.
“The judges wanted to be sure it was coming from John Mahama himself and that is the reason they all come out in their numbers including the current Chief Justice to examine the rubbish before them”, Chairman Wontumi said.
Chairman Wontumi added that “the legal team of Mahama sent pure rubbish to court and he expected the court to rule in his favour. This was the only time we saw the petitioner not being able to present a single pink sheet during the cross-examination process”.
