A former first Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region, Kwabena Senkyire, says he cringes, anytime he sees some respected Muslims supporting a “drunkard” to be president.
He specifically mentioned Alhaji Sinare, a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as someone who knows better as a devout Muslim and cautioned him from supporting a “drunkard” to be President of Ghana.
“When I see Sinare supporting Mahama, I get nauseous”, he said.
He further questioned Muslims who want to vote for the NDC why they want to endorse a candidate who drinks alcohol.
“You are following someone who drinks alcohol, why are you not rather supporting your brother who pray and believes in the Quran?” he questioned.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Mr. Kwabena Senkyire applauded the flagbearer of the NPP for coming out with a policy that is giving muslims in the Zongo communities an opportunity to study medicine at Cuba.
“Bawumia has managed to send a lot of people from the Zongo communities to Cuba to learn medicine”, he said.
