The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western North Region have become aware of an emerging impasse between a broadcast Journalist; Captain Smart of Onua TV (Media General) and the Chiefs and people of the region.
A conscious effort is being marshaled to be apprised of the details of the subject matter that sparked this impasse.
In view of this, all communicators and members of the party should remain calm and resist any attempt to make any public comment on the matter for now.
The leadership of the party will in due course which will be sooner rather than later make official statement on the matter.
BACKGROUND
Captain Smart is said to have ethnocentric comments on his show, describing the Western North Region as the most useless region in Ghana created by the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The Council Chiefs in the Western North Region on Thursday, June 29, performed a ritual to invoke the gods and ancestors of the region to deal with the broadcaster if he fails to render the apology.
The NDC in their response instructed all party communicators and party folks to resist any attempt to make any public comment.
