Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng in a discussion on Movement Showbiz on Friday June 10, 2022, made an assertion that having a tattoo isn’t a sin against God so long as it is not going to have a negative impact on your life.
The ‘I win’ hit maker stated that Christianity, church and gospel should not be limited to the Ghanaian culture where due to its rigidity, has become a barrier for most people especially the youth .
Again, he went on to emphasize on how Ghanaian Christians easily allow foreign culture which contradicts theirs into the country; but are unable to criticize it.
“We sit in Ghana here and you by your culture put us in a box and you pay almost a hundred thousand dollars and you bring people wearing ear rings and people with tattered jeans and they’re dancing on the stage and you’re happy but when they go, you want us to conform to your cultural conversation “
He further advised his fellow gospel artistes and pastors to not judge people but allow them instead into the house of God irrespective of their looks and appearances since the church is for all caliber of people.
