Karela United assistant coach, Abukari Damba, has emphasized his side’s commitment to treating their opening match of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with utmost seriousness.
Karela will face Asante Kotoko at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Although Karela defeated the Porcupine Warriors in their previous encounters, Damba acknowledges the strength of Prosper Narteh Ogum’s squad and insists on a serious approach to the game.
“We are preparing well for the upcoming season and we are playing against Asante Kotoko and we all know their quality so we are going to approach this game with all the seriousness to get the desired results whether we are playing home or away,” the former Black Stars goalkeeper told Asempa FM on the Ultimate Sports Show.
He also noted that, the team has been preparing both physically and mentally throughout their preseason.
“We are preparing and getting ourselves ready physically and mentally and that is what we have been doing since we started our preseason,” Damba added.
The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season is set to commence on September 6.
