The first gentleman of the Republic of Ghana, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, has applauded Chairman Blay for his enormous support towards the progress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Frederick Worsemao Armah Blay, popularly called Freddie Blay, was a member of the Conventions People’s Party (CPP) but later resigned and joined the NPP.
While serving as the Chairman of the party from 2015 to 2022, he helped in the party’s comeback to power in 2016 and also in the 4 more 4 Nana mantra in 2022.
In his speech, President Akufo- Addo said, “today I want show my gratitude to a man who decided to join us when we had our own crises and at a time most of our members attempted to set confusion in the party. He stepped forward for change and that reflected in the 2016 and 2020 elections’’.
He uttered his profound gratitude to the Chairman who will not be seeking for re-election at the 2022 National Annual Delegate Conference.
‘’Ayekoo! Chairman Blay. We will never forget your contributions towards the progress of the NPP’’, President Akufo-Addo expressed.
