“We Will Finance Mahama In 2024 Elections And Knock Him Down”- Top NPP Chairmen
Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako and the Bono Regional Chairman of the party, Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye have stated that, they would be happy if John Mahama will again contest for the 2024 Presidential elections.
According to the duo, they will support the former President and knock him down again in the 2024 general elections.
“Court should speed up the corruption cases leveled against the NDC. We should sell their properties and use the money to give loan to traders, use some to fix roads and some to expand the Agric sector.” Abronye said on Nsempa Fie Political Show on Wontumi Radio/TV.
The firebrand NPP Chairman revealed that, should John Mahama had won the 2020 elections, the NDC will use its majority group to amend the constitution for John Mahama to be able to contest the 2024 elections.
Abronye further revealed that, the main opponent, John Mahama fears the NDC National Chairman, Elder Ofosu Ampofo.
“Ofosu Ampofo has Presidential ambition so John Mahama wants him to be jailed over his alleged kidnapping tape so he leads the NDC party in the 2024 general elections,” he indicated.
The Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP insisted that, John Mahama kills the ambition of any NDC member who has the desire to be a President.
He said that, he succeeded in sidelining, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu from his government in 2012.
Meanwhile, Chairman Wontumi on the other hand said that, in 1992 when the NPP realized that, Professor Adu Boahen cannot win the Presidential seat for NPP, the party changed him for former President John Agyekum Kufour to appreciate the votes in the 1996 general elections and won the elections for the Party in the 2000 general elections.
