Managing Director of State Housing Company limited Ghana, Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, has rained accolades on vice President Bawumia for his sense of selflessness, making him deserving of the next President of Ghana.
In an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning show, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Mr Appiah commended the vice President for having the interest and betterment of Ghanaians at heart. He added that some of the initiatives of Dr Bawumia has saved lives, and if given the chance by Ghanaians, he will put the country in a better state.
According to him ”every leader has to have some qualities which one of them is someone who has the interest of people at heart. I think its key, if you are a leader and you don’t think about the people you lead, you’re bound to fail, and I’ve known Dr Bawumia for a while now but he did not call me into politics, I offered. I’ve worked for the biggest real estate in the world as a manger in America, I’ve managed billions of dollars so it has nothing to do with our stomachs. We want the best for our country and if that is what you want, then you need somebody who is selfless, someone who thinks about others.
I asked Dr Bawumia a question about his motivation when he started this John delivery, and he said ”if my father had received blood delivery five minutes earlier, he would have survived. So if I am now a leader of the country and I have the opportunity, even though my father did not survive, I can save the life of others.” That is someone who is not selfish, he is thinking about the country and how Ghanaians will have life, and since he started so many lives have been saved, the more reason I say we need a leader who is selfless and have the interest of people at heart.”
