We Don’t Talk But We Are Not Enemies – Black Sherif Speaks On Relationship With Former Label

Reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year, Black Sherif, says he is not enemies with his former label even though they are not on talking terms.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, ‘Blacko’, as he is widely called showed a lot of maturity in answering the questions he was asked.

One of the issues that popped up in the conversation was about his relationship with his former record label, Wayne Chavis Records.

He mentioned that ever since his big win, his former label has not congratulated him.

“We no dey talk but we no be enemies too,” said Black Sheriff in Pidgin English.

“I am very fast to keep things behind me and move on. I don’t care too much about things that will drain my energy because I have a lot of problems and things I am dealing with and I am not comfortable sharing.

“So I keep adding things like this behind me,” he explained.”

Since Black Sherif parted ways with Wayne Chavis Records, he has gained higher heights in his career as a musician, which includes the VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ award.

He has one album to his credit titled ‘The Villain I Never Was’.

The album was widely appreciated by music lovers and featured on music charts around the world.

On the other hand, Shadrach Agyei Owusu, also known as Snap Wayne Chavis has bounced back into the industry with a new breed of artists.

After the scuffle with his former artiste, Black Sherif, that almost got him exiting the music business, Snap Wayne Chavis has still kept his desires burning.

Becoming a relentless investor, ready to go against all the odds, the building contractor and pharmacist who along the line became a music fanatic says he’s always been keen in supporting pure talent.
