We Couldn’t Guarantee Him Enough Game Time- Hibernian Sporting Director On Jojo Wollacott Exit

Black Stars goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott has officially joined English League Two side Crawley Town after exiting Scottish League side Hibernian.

This comes after a frustrating time in Scotland where the 27 year old made just eight appearances in his sole season with Hibernian.

Wollacott originally joined Hibernian on a three year deal but a thigh injury forced him to miss significant time out and he couldn’t reclaim his starting spot on his return leading to his exit.

The Black Stars player makes a move back to the League Two after featuring for Charlton Athletic prior to his move to Hibernian. On Wollacott’s exit, Hibernian Sporting Director Malky Mackay stated,

“First of all I would like to thank Jojo for his efforts during his time with us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t guarantee Jojo as much game time as he would like, we agreed it was best for him to continue his career down south, in a league that he knows well.”
