Government spokesperson on social services, Alhaji Yusif Fofana, has stated that the New Patriotic Party can break the 8 with ease devoid of various party members’ support to the Presidential aspirants.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro, on Movement In The Morning show, on Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Mr Fofana reiterated that peaceful coexistence and unity are the major things that would aid in breaking the 8 come 2024 elections.
He advised that some members of the party halts bragging that they are the pillar which holds down the party, when it was the party that made them who they are.
” The streets in Northern Region from Yendi to Binbila has all been done which tells how much the Government has worked, and say we still can work harder and break the 8 easily with unity after 24th November, then we move forward quietly. I’d advice my colleagues to put in their best wherever they belong, although left to me I wish we all belonged to Bawumia’s camp but its a contest.
Regardless of who supports who, we all have to come together at the end of the day because His Excellency J. A Kufuor once said, it is better for your party you serve as a messenger in to be in power, than for your party you are a general secretary in to be in opposition, so those preaching that the party cannot continue without them should stop.”
