Real Madrid fans turned out in large numbers for the unveiling of French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe’s unveiling matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s record as the most attended player presentation in history.
They both had 80,000 attendees, with Diego Maradona in third place with 70,000 attendees.
During his speech, Mbappe noted that playing for Los Blancos is a childhood dream.
“I have dreamed for many years of playing for Real Madrid, and today my dream comes true. I am a happy boy. I want to thank President Florentino Pérez.”
“I see my whole family right now, and my mom who is crying,” Mbappe expressed.
Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Kylian Mbappe on Monday, June 3, 2024, just two days after securing their 15th UEFA Champions League title.
According to a statement from the club, Kylian Mbappe agreed to a five-year deal that will run until 2029.
Mbappe’s arrival significantly boosts the Spanish football giants as they aim to dominate European and world football.
He is expected to wear the club’s No. 9 shirt.
