Voters Register: Let’s Have Evidence During IPAC Meeting – EC To Stakeholders

The Electoral Commission (EC) has called on all stakeholders attending Tuesday’s critical IPAC meeting to come prepared with evidence and data to support any discrepancies or concerns they have regarding the Provisional Voters Register (PVR).

The EC emphasized that this collaborative approach will help ensure that all parties can work together to resolve any outstanding issues with the register.

The Commission highlighted that, despite multiple requests, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has yet to provide any data to substantiate the discrepancies for which they are demanding a forensic audit of the PVR.

The EC is hopeful that the NDC and other stakeholders will present their data during Tuesday’s IPAC meeting.

In the lead-up to the meeting, the Commission also reiterated that producing the Final Voters Register is a gradual process, not a one-time event.

The EC assured the public and all stakeholders that it remains committed to working with IPAC to address any concerns regarding the register.
