(VOICE) Police Involving In Bullion Van Robberies Due To Huge Money Paid During Recruitment- Security Analyst
A Security Expert, Richard Kumadoe says that a section of the police officers involved in bullion van attacks is a result of the huge money they pay to be recruited.
According to Kumadoe Ghana’s security apparatus is currently facing the phenomenon of “garbage in, garbage out” due to poor recruitment processes, lack of extensive background checks on applicants.
Mr. Kumadoe’s concern comes after the Ghana Police Service disclosed that four of their offices were part of the gang responsible for the recent bullion van robberies.
Speaking about security issues and the future of Ghana’s security on Wontumi TV Morning Show, he said there is a lot of work the IGP, George Akufo Dampare has to do to clean up the system to weed out the criminal elements posing as officers.
