(VOICE) I’m Not A Card-Bearing Member Of Any Political Party- Justice Abdulai
Mr Justice Abdulai, a private legal practitioner and plaintiff in the case that sought for the Supreme Court’s interpretation on the voting rights of Deputy Speakers of Parliament when presiding, says he is not a card bearing member of any political party.
According to Justice Abdulai, he is a citizen who seeks the welfare of the country.
He made the remarks in an interview with Nana Konadu Abu Prah on Wontumi TV Morning Show.
The law lecturer stressed he is not a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as has been rumoured.
He fumed that some people have shallow minds and they speak below the belt.
Justice Abdulai bemoaned that some utterances can destabilize somebody’s life.
He said a section of people who have tagged him as an NDC member are those who know him well, saying he has not received a call from Mr. John Mahama after the ruling.
He indicated that nobody supported him financially to go to the Supreme Court.
Justice Abdulai said the ruling of the apex court has not changed his interpretations.
He said the ruling of the Court wasn’t what he expected.
The law lecture disclosed that an uncountable number of NPP and NDC members have charged him to go for review on the ruling.
