Tertiary Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party(TESCON) at the KNUST has launched a Food & Sanitary Bank program to support the students.
The program which is the maiden edition was launched on Friday, 2/09/22 at Africa Hall in KNUST.
Addressing the TESCON, the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling party, Dr Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko commended the outgoing TESCON Women Commissioner, Saeedah Aboubakar Noni and her team for the initiative.
Dr Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko said Food and Sanitary are essential for the students.
She urged them to be united to accelerate the development of the NPP wing.
She advised the wing to read the achievement of the NPP, “and know that the party is a unique party that can develop Ghana.”
Dr Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko further advised the NPP wing to project the achievement of the government to foster the breaking of the eight years political cycle.
For her part, the outgoing KNUST Women’s Commissioner, Saeedah Aboubakar Noni affirmed that she finds it unbearable to notice some of her colleagues famished.
Saeedah Aboubakar Noni revealed that a section of the students plead with her for food and fees.
She said, the targeted number of students to benefit is 100 but quickly expressed the hope that the number will expand as the program progresses.
She urged her successor to continue the initiative.
Saeedah Aboubakar Noni promised to support her successor to succeed.
