VIDEO: Simon Osei-Mensah Outlines Strict Measures For NPP Regional Election In A/R
The Election Committee Chairman for the upcoming NPP Regional elections particularly in Ashanti Region, Simon Osei-Mensah has disseminated strict measures for the upcoming Regional executives’ elections.
Simon Osei-Mensah confirmed the election is slated for Friday, 27 May and voting will commence at 7 am.
Appearing on Wontumi TV Morning Show on Monday, he said each candidate will have just 5 people as company to the centre in addition to 3 polling agents.
The Regional Minister hinted to the host, Oheneba Nana Asiedu the committee is waiting for the election album from the National Executives Council and distribute to the candidates.
He emphasized that the committee’s mandate doesn’t include the preparation of an album.
The head of the Ashanti Regional Security Council disclosed that state security will be deployed to maintain order.
Simon Osei-Mensah however said media houses willing to cover the election should apply for accreditation.
