Members of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, have been sworn into office to coordinate various activities at the local level.
The members comprise the Regional Minister, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Presiding Members and Heads of Departments.
A High Court judge, His Lordship Akrowiah performed the swearing-in ceremony at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi on Wednesday, 22/06/2022.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Coordinating Council, Simon Osei- Mensah expressed heartfelt appreciation to Akufo-Addo for nominating and subsequently confirming him and the 43 MMDCEs.
Simon Osei -Mensah pledged that he and the MMDCEs will work to deliver what is expected of them.
He urged the MMDCEs to cooperate with their legislators and Presiding members
.
The Ashanti Regional Minister advised the MMDCEs to desist from lateness and rather be punctual at work.
He further urged them to be on high alert in the wake of terrorist attacks on neighbourhood countries.
Simon Osei-Mensah told the MMDCEs to take attach importance to the ‘See Something, Say Something campaign.
