The Director General of the Ghana Aids Commission, Dr Kyeremeh Atuahene, has revealed shockingly that about 100,000 Ghanaians have contracted HIV but oblivious.
Dr Kyeremeh Atuahene said those people are spreading the disease.
Appearing on the Privilege Morning Show on Wontumi TV, he urged each individual to perform a test to know their status.
He said unlike the previous years there is now medicine to reduce the spread of the virus in the blood.
Dr Kyeremeh Atuahene indicated that the medicine is free of charge but the infected persons can obtain it only if they have the NHIS card.
He revealed that it can be obtained at hospitals, clinics, and CHPs.
