The National Labour Commission (NLC) has appealed to the four teacher unions to call off the strike action.
The unions; Ghana National Association of Teachers, National Association of Graduate Teachers, Teachers and Educational Workers Union and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers announced a nationwide strike on Monday, 4/07/2022.
The decision, according to the unions, follows the failure of the government to pay a 20% Cost of Living Allowance to them.
In an interview on Wontumi TV Morning Show, the Executive Secretary, Ofosu Asamoah urged the unions to discontinue the strike action to pave way for the engagement process to emerge.
