A promise by former President John Mahama to build more morgues for the Muslim community in Ghana, has been seriously criticized by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated on the Wontumi Morning Show that he is amazed the only promise the former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress can make to the various Zongo communities in Ghana is to build them mortuaries for them to bury the death.
Chairman Wontumi stated on the show that the promise shows clearly that former President wants to see more death recorded in areas with more Muslims. He therefore urged people living in the Zongo to discontinue voting for the NDC since they are not a party to be trusted.
“Today when you talk about policy that you will help the Muslim Community with, you talk about building more mortuary for them. As a former President you want to make them ride okada and die so you are adding mortuary to it”, Chairman Wontumi said.
