VIDEO: John Mahama Wept, Knelt And Held Tsatsu’s Legs Before He Agreed To Represent Him In Court- Abronye

Abronye Urges Voltarians To Rise Up Against NDC (VIDEO)

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe has revealed the struggle former President John Mahama went through before securing the services of lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata to represent him in court.

Speaking on show which airs on Wontumi TV and was monitored by Wontumionline.com, the NPP Chairman popularly known as Abronye, disclosed that Mr. Mahama is scared of the public ridicule that came with his defeat in the 2020 elections and wants to do something to please his supporters by going to court.

But Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata is reported to have told former President John Mahama that their petition to the Supreme Court lacks all the facts to overturn the results of the 2020 Presidential elections.

According to Abronye, Mr. Tsikata told Mr. Mahama that if he wants the judges to rule for a run-off, then the legal team of the NDC needs to establish that “there was over voting, vote pudding and people voted who are not to take part as stated under article 42”of the constitution.

For this reason, Mr. Tsikata refused to accept any role in representing the NDC in court until former President Mahama broke down in tears, knelt and held his legs.

Mahama told him people would mock at him on social media. He went to cry in his house. So Tsatu’s wife convinced him to represent him in court out of sympathy”, Abronye said.
