“Everybody who knows me knows that I don’t drink alcohol,” President Akufo-Addo said on the floor of Parliament whilst delivering a State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
The President had been served with a glass of water by a military officer and after gulping the content, he jokingly said to the house that it wasn’t alcohol.
The comment drew loud laughter from the Members of Parliament.
