(VIDEO) Gov’t Commended For Releasing Over ¢67m To Colleges Of Education
Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Education Ministry, Yaw Opoku Mensah has commended government for releasing over ¢67m to the Colleges of Education.
Yaw Opoku Mensah said President Akufo- Addo is a promise keeper.
Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show on Thursday, he recalled, Akufo- Addo in 2016 promised to restore the Teacher Trainee allowance if voted as President and has fulfilled it.
According to him, “normally we don’t announce the payment but the allegations by PRINCOF triggered the announcement. ”
Yaw Opoku Mensah hinted that the government decided to settle the debt and that it is not the allegations by PRINCOF which pushed the government to settle the debt.
