The Executive Director for the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, Kingsley Ofosu Ntiamoah has shockingly disclosed that the National Museum which was built in 1957 was closed down when he was appointed as the Executive Director.

Ofosu Ntiamoah explained that the closure was due to the dilapidated nature of the museum which needed an urgent facelift.

He said on the Privilege Morning Show on Wontumi TV that he and his team took the necessary steps to give the Museum a facelift after they assumed office.

He said the gallery in the museum is now operational.

Ofosu Ntiamoah urged Ghanaians to visit the public museums and have a peek at the exhibition.
