An Economist, Dr Stephen Amoah has flatly rubbished verdict made by former Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Professor Kwesi Botchwey that Ghana’s current economy is showing a semblance of what pertained in the early 1980s.
Sticka as he is affectionately called said he is aghast a scholar like Kwesi Botchwey will spew that statement.
Appearing on Wontumi TV Morning Show, he asked Kwesi Botchwey if he is calling for a coup d’etat.
Sticka fumed that he cannot compare today’s infrastructure and economy to that of the 1980s.
He said the achievement of Akufo- Addo especially in the road sector is remarkable.
According to Sticka NDC has mounted pressure and wants to come back to power by impetus.
But the Nhyiaeso MP was quick to state that NDC cannot change the fortunes of the country.
He dared the NDC members to mention a single-pro-poor policy they have introduced.
