Chief Executive Officer of the Public Sector Reforms, Thomas Kusi Boafo has hinted that the charge for the Electronic Transaction Levy(E-levy) might be increased from 1.5% – 3% as the government goes to IMF for a bailout.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show on Tuesday, Kusi Boafo recalled the above statement he made in a discussion he made with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on Wontumi Morning Show some months ago.
“I once said if we don’t accept the 1.5% charge and we go to IMF it will be increased but let’s see what happens,” he said
He explained that the responsibility of the IMF is to assist the depreciation currency of a country to be stable.
Kusi Boafo reminded Ghanaians that NPP is the only government that rescues the country anytime it goes to IMF
