A revered chief is calling on government to apply aggression in dealing with former President Mahama and his party National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.
Nana Oteatuoso Kokobeng II in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show claimed that findings by former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu that former President Mahama is ‘Government Official One’ responsible for fraudulently acquiring Airplanes for Ghana, gives reason for him to be dealt with the legal way.
He added that government must also take serious interest in ensuring that the National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo is made to face the music for plotting evil attacks on innocent Ghanaians.
“Ofosu-Ampofo’s case must come to a logical conclusion this year. We should not allow him to go scot-free. Martin Amidu has also said because of the 2020 elections, he didn’t go after Mahama who is Government official 1. We have to go the Shatta Wale style on Mahama and Ofosu Ampofo”, he said.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo was captured on the tape planning an attack on individuals including the Electoral Commission (EC) chair and the Chairman of the National Peace Council among others.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo is heard clearly in the audio saying that “the EC chair, we must wage a relentless war against her. We need to take her to the cleaners.”
He is also heard saying, “We will go after them. We will not go after them face to face. We will target some people to make them feel their lives are in danger.
“We should also not spare the CSOs and religious groups. Especially the peace council chairman. For the first time I will endorse insults”.
