The indefatigable Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, was spotted drying cocoa beans at Assin North today.
The owner of the beans, an elderly woman who extremely happy to see the NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi sorting her beans out with his bean hands as it dries.
She joined Chairman Wontumi to dry the bean and then started in a sweet conservation that ended in hugs before they both departed.
Chairman Wontumi is in the area to help his party win the impending by-election.
The Assin North constituency by-election contest follows a Supreme Court ruling on May 17, this year, that Quayson’s election as Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North in 2020 was unconstitutional and an order to Parliament to expunge his name from its records as a member of the house.
