Seasoned Lawyer, Maurice Ampaw has taken a direct swipe at Parliamentarians without moral character describing them as people have made them the august house a cheap place to enter among the three arms of government.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Lawyer Ampaw categorically cited the MP for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nettey George as one of the MPs whose conduct doesn’t merit the title ‘Honourable’.
According to him, the deliberate attacks on the Judiciary by some of the MPs were sickening and as a trained lawyer, he won’t allow the unsavoury comments to go unanswered.
“They have forgotten that the Judiciary is part of the arms of government… It is not easy to raise Judges but it is easier to become a Parliamentarians. Even ‘koko’ sellers can become MPs. It is the cheapest place to go when compared to the other arms of government. Look at their qualification. There are certain people there without high moral character, proven integrity and good educational background…Look at Sam George”, he stated.
