The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe, has jumped to the defense of Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, describing him as one of the pillars that ensured that the NPP won the 2020 general elections.
Speaking on the Nsempa Fie show which airs on Wontumi TV, Kwame Baffoe also known as Abronye stated that it is extremely wrong for NPP members who engaged in “skirt and blouse” voting to come out and blame regional executives who have delivered victory for the party.
“Those calling for the head of Chairman Wontumi must stop. You are the same people who voted for President Akufo-Addo but failed to vote for NPP parliamentary candidates”, he said.
He continued that members of the NPP who voted for President Akufo-Addo and not his PCs, have lost the right to criticize executives like Chairman Wontumi who has constantly put his life on the line to ensure the NPP was retained after the December polls.
He added that the decision by some members of the NPP to vote against their own MPs, has motivated the NDC to creating trouble for government through demonstrations.
“If you voted for the NDC parliamentary candidate, it won’t bring development to the country. I will never help an NDC PC get development in any constituency”, he vowed on the show.
