Some Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in Ashanti Region have commended the National Coordinator for the Monitoring and Evaluation Secretariat (MES) for paying visits to their various areas to inspect ongoing government projects.
In an interview with Wontumionline.com, MCE For Tepa, Hon. Martina Appiah Nyantakyi said the monitoring will curb the propaganda by some people that the Region has been left out of the national cake.
Hon. Martina Appiah Nyantakyi said the monitoring will stimulate the MMDCEs to work hard.
“A lot of massive projects are going on at Tepa but people don’t know. Kind courtesy President Akufo-Addo, Maabang residents have acquired a tarred road, first time in their history.”
She praised Akufo-Addo for improving the health care system of the Municipality.
Hon. Martina Appiah Nyantakyi said the newly built Government Hospital at Tepa has reduced the congestion of patients.
She added that the patients now get swift medical care.
For his party, the DCE for Kunso, Hon. Joseph Bonsu Frimpong urged Hon. Gifty Ohene-Konadu no to end the monitoring.
He said the Kunso District has improved massively under Akufo-Addo.
