(VIDEO) 2022 BUDGET: Maxi Appeals To Govt To Reverse 30% Bench Mark Values Policy

An NPP sympathizer, Prince Kumi fondly called Maxi the Dealer is calling on government not to introduce the 30% Bench Mark Values policy in the 2022 Budget Statement to be read tomorrow 17/11/2021.

According to Maxi, any introduction of such a policy shall deepen the woes of Ghanaians, especially importers.

Maxi warned that any attempt to introduce this policy in the 2022 Budget will disrupt Ghana’s distribution sector and breaking the 8 will be impossible.

“I know that Nana Addo is a listening President and i am appealing to him and the Finance Minister to reverse the 30% Bench Mark Values Policy,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the Food and Beverage Association is also warning of some disruption in the value chain of beverage products, ahead of the Christmas season should the policy be reversed in the 2022 Budget.

“We are expecting the hike of products by about 25%. The food and beverage industry will also be heavily hit by this development,” he stressed.
